We're in the Home Stretch!!!

Friday marked the beginning of our 8th month! Braylin definitely has a mind of her own already! She does not like it when I sit or lay in certain positions... and boy..she lets me know it!!! My mom flew out on Friday to be here for the baby shower. My mother in law, Karen, threw me an absolutely beautiful shower! The diaper cake that she made is so cute; Brad won't let me take it apart! He and I are very grateful for everyone's generous gifts to help prepare for Braylin. At the end of the shower, my mom surprised Brad with a very practical gift. She made him a Diaper Kit complete with tongs, goggles, and a mask! Later that night, they both attempted to put the stroller together! Looks like it works! :)

67 days and counting!!!!!

Well, my mom seems to think I am growing by the day! I go to the doctor tomorrow for another check up. I am sure she will confirm my growth. Over the weekend, Brad and I drove up to Sedona to visit our good friends, Charlie and Melissa. I promised Mel more pics. (Here ya go, Mel!) We had so much fun, and, it was really nice to get out of Phoenix.
I guess now we are officially in the 3rd trimester! The excitement is getting hard to bear. I have put a few pics of outfits we are thinking of bringing her home in.... any favorites????

7 months and counting....

Here a few more belly pics, although we haven't done much more to her room. Grandma Porto is coming out in April to help add the final touches. Brad and I have been really busy at work. I went in for my 28 week check up and all was well. We were saddened to find out that I probably won't have another ultrasound. So, what she looks like is going to have be a surprise! I am now able to distinguish between kicks and moves. Still no distinct body parts yet! I am very excited and anxious to start my third trimester! Hope this finds everyone well!

14 weeks to go!

It has been a busy 2 weeks for us, but we have managed to get her room done! (for the most part)
Brad has been hard at work! He got the entire room painted and her crib put together. Last weekend Chris (along w/ Jerri and Alex) came over to help. What a HUGE help having such a handy friend. They got all of the chair rail up and the furniture situated. I absolutely love her room and can't wait to put the finishing touches on it! I had Brad take another belly picture because I swear I am getting bigger every day!

Snap, Crackle, POP!!!!!

Friday marked the 6th month of our pregnancy journey! I can't believe how time has past so quickly! I really enjoy being pregnant. Even more so now that she is moving and poking all of the time! She gets the hiccups quite often. Brad thinks they are funny. My belly moves when she moves now and it is the weirdest thing! I can't wait until she is bigger and those movements become body parts! We took a picture in her room so you could see the paint colors. Eventually, a lilac chair rail will separate the two colors. Well, that's about all for now!

Poppy has a name!

Wednesday evening we drove down to Fashion Square Mall to preview a sale at Baby Style. On the way down, I asked Brad if we could please pick out a name so I could start talking to her.... so, Poppy is now known as....

Braylin Joy

I think she likes it because I started talking to her at dinner and she kept kicking! Back to our Baby Style adventure.... we looked through some items and a friend of a friend said she would hold them until the sale got closer to closing out. We returned to Baby Style on Sunday to pay for our items.... We were thrilled, shocked, and very exciting when our total bill came to $18!!! Apparently, they had to close down all locations on Sunday by noon. Here are Braylin's treasures!
