Friday marked the 6th month of our pregnancy journey! I can't believe how time has past so quickly! I really enjoy being pregnant. Even more so now that she is moving and poking all of the time! She gets the hiccups quite often. Brad thinks they are funny. My belly moves when she moves now and it is the weirdest thing! I can't wait until she is bigger and those movements become body parts! We took a picture in her room so you could see the paint colors. Eventually, a lilac chair rail will separate the two colors. Well, that's about all for now!
Lots of love,
Jenn
Wednesday evening we drove down to Fashion Square Mall to preview a sale at Baby Style. On the way down, I asked Brad if we could please pick out a name so I could start talking to her.... so, Poppy is now known as....
Braylin JoyI think she likes it because I started talking to her at dinner and she kept kicking! Back to our Baby Style adventure.... we looked through some items and a friend of a friend said she would hold them until the sale got closer to closing out. We returned to Baby Style on Sunday to pay for our items.... We were thrilled, shocked, and very exciting when our total bill came to $18!!! Apparently, they had to close down all locations on Sunday by noon. Here are Braylin's treasures!
On the 15th we went for our 18 week ultrasound.
The little stinker would NOT cooperate!
The only good picture we got was of her huge foot! The tech said she had her face so close to my placenta that it made it very difficult to see her. She did reach down grab her toes which was so cute! The tech was so amazed that she forgot to snap a pic! Hopefully next time we will get some better
pictures of her!
Friday was officially the 5 month mark! I am usually able to
feel her move a couple times a day. She really likes when I sit at
a computer! Not sure why, but that is when she is most
active! Brad started painting her nursery yesterday. I think
it is going to look very cute! I can't wait until it is finished so
we can put the crib together! I go back in 2 weeks for a routine
check up, but won't get another ultrasound until 32 weeks. :(
Oh, and this time I bared my belly for ya'll!!!!

This is supposed to be the "girl part"!
We are so thrilled to announce that we are expecting a little girl. We haven't decided on a name yet, but are working on it! Over the past two weeks, I have been able to feel her move! Very cool!I told my students I would wear pink or blue today. They were very excited to see me in pink! They all thought it was a girl! We celebrated with pink jolly ranchers. :)Hugs, Jenn

Merry Christmas!
We are officially 4 months today! I feel great and I think Brad is handling my hormones like a champ! :) I think I felt the baby "move" yesterday. It felt like a bunch of little pop rocks going off.... but, no flutters, yet.
Well, Poppy is not even here yet and "she" is spoiled already! Poppy made out great this Christmas getting lots of onesies, blankets, socks, and little toys. Now, we just need somewhere to put all this stuff! We are looking to order furniture sometime in February.
We hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas. May everyone have a very blessed 2009! Until Jan. 6th.....
Much love,Jenn and Brad
So, our doctor talked us in to getting a nuchal screen to make sure everything was progressing nicely. I went yesterday to have the ultrasound done, and, good news, Poppy's healthy! The best part was we got to watch "her" on the screen for 30 mins! It was so neat to watch "her" move "her" arms and legs, and open "her" mouth. That's right, the ultrasound tech told us she thinks it's a girl!!!! But, it's not 100% and to not buy anything pink just yet! We would be happy with either, we are just glad the baby is healthy. I go back on Jan 6th where they will confirm the sex.
Our doctor's appointment went great! We really like our doctor. She said everything looked good and the heartbeat was 160. And, yes, there is only ONE!!!! We go back on Jan 6th to hopefully find out the sex. Take care and have a wonderful holiday!
